Manalapan Summer Concert Series Announced

Enjoy live music, a family movie, and car show at the Manalapan Recreation Center this summer.

The Manalapan Arts Council Summer Concert Series has three wonderful events planned this summer.  All concerts begin at 7 p.m. at the Manalapan Township Recreation Center and are free to the public, according to Manalapan Administrative Assistant Susan Lapkin.

The first event of the Concert Series features Shore Ratz. The Shore Ratz covers classic rock tunes from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s as well as current hits. They will be performing on Wednesday, July 17.

The second event of the Concert Series features Racin' Time, who will perform on Wednesday, Aug. 21.  Racin' Time plays fun Dance Along, Sing Along Party Tunes, Classic Rock, Rockin Country and Blues.

Finally, the third and last event of the Concert Series will feature The Fabulous Greaseband along with a Classic Car Show at 6 p.m. The movie “Grease” will immediately follow The Fabulous Greaseband.  Everyone will have fun eyeing the classic cars that will be vying for the prize of “Best in Show, “Mayor’s Choice” or “Kids Choice”. Come on down and cast your vote for the winning cars on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

The Manalapan Arts Council is a volunteer organization that brings arts programming to the residents of Manalapan.  Spread the word to your friends and show your support by attending these fabulous family events.  Please remember to bring your lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray.
