"Extra Innings Classic" Marathon Softball to Benefit Local Youth Charities

Non-profit organization Play2Win and the Marlboro MVP Softball League have helped organize the first annual "Extra Innings Classic", a charity event featuring a marathon softball game. The fundraiser will take place on Sunday, Aug. 14 at the Marlboro Little League Complex, located on 66 Tennent Road in Morganville. Money raised from the event will go towards the Chariot Riders Monmouth County, the Freehold Area Challenger Sports, and the Challenged Youth Sports of Middletown.

“The players within MVP have always talked about giving back to the local community,” said Lee Kushner of MVP Softball, said in a press release. “With this event, we hope to set the bar high with the amount of money raised while also establishing a fun, new tradition for the area.” 

Advanced Wellness "Team Italy" will go up against BTG "Team World" in an all day softball marathon competition! Along side the softball marathon, the Dynasty Advisors LLC Home Run Derby and the CK’s Baseball 4U Boys and Girls Baseball and Softball Olympics will be held. Not into playing sports? No problem! Other family entertainment will be offered including an amusement area, a DJ, and food and drink concessions.
