Hartigan's Grille to Offer Free Thanksgiving Meal for Needy Families
Samaritan Center clients are welcome to have a free Thanksgiving Day dinner at Hartigan's on Thursday.
, located at 3 Tennent Avenue in Englishtown, is offering Thanksgiving dinner to over 70 people and their families who are unable to finance a meal for themselves this holiday season. The families are clients of the Samaritan Center, a local food pantry, who will be working alongside Hartigan's Grille to make this happen.
A large, home-cooked Thanksgiving meal will be available at 5 p.m. at Hartigan's Grille on Thursday, Nov. 24. The free dinner will include an appetizer, full turkey dinner, and dessert.
"The goal is to create a fabulously grandiose feast that embodies the spirit and bounty of Thanksgiving for families that are not able to provide that through their own means," the press release issued by Matt Hartigan stated.

will be providing volunteers for food preparation, serving the food, and transporting the families to and from the restaurant. Members of the Hartigan family will also be taking time out of their holiday to give back to the community.

Hartigan's Grille will also be spreading holiday cheer with a light show for Lights for Life throughout the season. Lights for Life, Inc. is a non-profit organization that helps children with cancer through recycling. Hartigan's Grille has parntered with the Make a Wish Foundation to help make this happen.
The light show will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25. A donation box will be set up, so if you like the show please make a donation.
