Salon Cémone Celebrates 13 Years of Locks of Love Donations

Owner Sue Bertola-Wolf will be donating a ponytail to the non-profit for the fourth time.

, located within the Towne Pointe Shopping Center on Rt. 9, has been collecting hair for Locks of Love since Groundhog Day of 1999, and they want to thank all of the patrons who have donated to the non-profit organization over the years.

Locks of Love collects human hair pony tails and makes wigs out of them for children who suffer from alopecia areata - long-term medical hair loss. Salon Cémone has sent a number of large boxes full of ponytails, which totaled over a quarter mile of hair, to Locks of Loves over the past 13 years.

If you want to donate to Locks of Love you must have a ponytail of at least 10 inches or longer. When you donate at Salone Cémone you will receive a free haircut and styling. Color-treated, permed, or hair that has been cut off years ago will all be accepted by Locks of Love, but bleached and dreadlocks will not be accepted. Not sure if your hair is long enough? Salon Cémone will gladly measure it for you!
