Parent-Teacher Conferences Bring Early Dismissals for Manalapan Schools this Week

Government

The Manalapan Township Committee is holding a Town Hall meeting at Covered Bridge 1 on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The Englishtown Mayor and Council are meeting in the courtroom of the Englishtown Municipal Building at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Manalapan Planning Board is meeting in the courtroom of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building on Thursday at 8 p.m. The board will be voting on a resolution amending the township noise ordinance. There will also be a public hearing on a minor site plan to Homeric Donuts on Route 9 and a home subdivision.

• The Cable TV Advisory is meeting in room 213 of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. 
• The Fire Prevention Committee is meeting in room 107 of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 8 p.m. on Monday. 
• The Recreation Advisory Board is meeting in the Recreation Main Office at 8 p.m. on Monday. 
• The Board of Health is meeting in room 216 of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
• The Senior Citizen Advisory is meeting in room 213 of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
• The Senior Citizen Executive Board is meeting in room 213 of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Schools

The Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education is meeting at the district administration building on Pine Street in Englishtown at 8 p.m. on Monday. The superintendent will be giving the district’s “Violence and Vandalism Presentation” and will be announcing the Spooktacular Awards. 

The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School district will be having four hour days this week Tuesday through Friday for parent teacher conferences.  

Manalapan High School will be having an early dismissal on Thursday. 

The FRHSD College and Career Fair will take place at Howell High School at 6 p.m. on Thursday. 

New Jersey Coastal Documentary 

The Monmouth County Library will be presenting “Shored Up: A Documentary” on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. “Shored Up” was filmed over a period of three years and culminates with the impact of Sandy. The documentary examines the issues of coastal communities and exposes the issues in coastal management. Director Ben Kalina will be present after the screening to answer any questions.   

Preschool Open House

ABC Spectrum Pre-school is holding an open house and book fair on Thursday at 7 p.m.  All ABC Spectrum Preschool Families as well as any new families interested in learning more about our school programs are invited.  ABC Spectrum Preschool is located at 78 Millhurst Road in Manalapan.
