Cláudio Roditi Performs Latin Jazz at Monmouth County Library

Roditi recently won Latin Jazz Corner's Best Latin Trumpeter Award.

November is Jazz month at the Monmouth County Library, and this coming Sunday the library is kicking off the month of music with a Latin twist.

Grammy-nominated Brazilian jazz trumpeter and flügelhorn master, Cláudio Roditi, will be performing this Sunday at 2 p.m. alongside his sextet. Roditi is known for a free-flowing sound that mixes Brazilian elements with Post-Bop. He recently won Latin Jazz Corner's Best Latin Trumpeter Award.

This free concert is one of four this month at the library. All of the jazz concerts were coordinated by Jack Livingstone, a former Monmouth County Library Director who introduced distinct and innovative jazz performers over the past forty years.
