Performing Arts Ensemble to Dance 'The Nutcracker' Ballet

The Performing Arts Ensemble will be performing “The Nutcracker” on Sunday at the Millstone Performing Arts Center at 2 p.m. “The Nutcracker” ballet follows a young girl named Clara and her magical journey to the Land of Sweets with a Nutrcracker who becomes a prince. 

Founded by Evelyn Gardell, the Performing Arts Ensemble showcases talented young dancers from New Jersey and New York. Guest artists and children were chosen by audition to put on large cast fully staged performances. The ensemble also includes elaborate costumes and special effects. The Performing Arts Ensemble is a member of the Monmouth County Arts Council and Dance New Jersey.

Tickets for the show are $22 for adults and $20 for seniors and children. The show is appropriate for children in kindergarten and older. The Millstone Performing Arts Center is located at 5 Dawson Court off of Route 33 and Baird Road and tickets are available for purchase at the door.
