Intoxicated Couple Disregard Crying Baby, Police Say

The married couple were reportedly in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; DYFS has been contacted.

Manalapan police arrested and charged a married couple with child endangerment, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia on Sunday, Nov. 12. The couple, Rachel Davis, 28, and Evan Davis, 30, were found intoxicated in their Century Way home while their 4-month-old daughter was crying in their residence, police said. A pizza delivery person contacted the police after he heard a baby crying in the home, but no one came to the door. Ptl. Bryan Belardo, of the Manalapan Police Department, responded to the house at around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday and after several unsuccessful attempts to make contact with the couple, Belardo made entry into the home.
