Local Public Employees Receive More than $100K Pension
Two former administrators of the Freehold Regional High School District and a former police captain receive more than $100,000 in annual pension from the state.
There are over 1,200 retired public employees collecting more than $100,000 in benefits each year in the state of New Jersey, two of whom hail from Manalapan and two who have served the Freehold Regional High School district. New Jersey Watchdog, a news Web site devoted to public service journalism, compiled a list of who belongs to the "$100K Club". According to New Jersey Watchdog, 1,244 former employees collected more than $100,000 last year, an increase of 28 percent since 2010. Two Manalapan residents, including a former police captain and former superintendent of the FRHSD make the "$100K Club" list. I would like to know how much of disgraced ex-Dr. Wasser's pension calculation came from his phony degree; after all, he was not required to pay back the district. Speaking of disgrace....When Donna Evangelista retires, are we going to see her name on this site as well??   more ›
