A store in Tinton Falls produced a $95 million winner.
A winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $95 million was purchased at a Tinton Falls store and a $10,000 ticket was sold in Howell, according to a press release issued by the New Jersey Lottery. New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced that the $95 ticket was bought at Kwik Farms located at 590 Shrewsbury Ave. in the borough. The convenience store is located at a Lukoil gas station. The ticket is one of only two winners in the nation, and as of Saturday, the Lottery has not been contacted by the winning ticket-holders, Hedinger said. Robert and Amelia Talerico of Holmdel came forward today to claim the $21.5 million prize from the June 25 Pick-6 game draw, NJ Lottery officials announced today. The winning ticket was sold at the Holmdel 7-Eleven at Kohl's Plaza on Route 35 North. At the press conference today, Robert Talerico, an electrical contractor, told how it was his habit to purchase around 7 lottery tickets a week. But for that particular drawing, he felt compelled to buy two extra Quick-Picks at the Holmdel 7-Eleven.
