Larohonda Johnson, 28, of Camden was arrested by Manalapan Township Police on Wednesday, Feb. 20 for allegedly conspiring to distribute drugs in Manalapan, breaking into a car, and being in possession of Angel Dust. Johnson was charged twice with conspiring with another to commit possession with intent to distribute over five pounds of marijuana. According to the arrest warrant, Johnson allegedly arranged to have the marijuana delivered to a Manalapan address. Johnson was also charged with criminal trespass for reportedly breaking into a car parked in the driveway of a Manalapan home. The Manalapan Police Benevolent Association (PBA 229) is holding a fundraiser for those affected by Hurricane Sandy entitled “Blue for the Beach”. An Englishtown man was recently arrested by Manalapan police for his alleged involvement in the assault and robbery of a 17-year-old Manalapan boy last May. Demetrius Robinson, 18, was identified as one of the three individuals who had beaten and stolen a cell phone from a victim while he was walking along Shinnecock Drive on May 28. Robinson was transported to police headquarters and charged with robbery, aggravated assault, and criminal mischief. Robinson was processed and released after posting $50,000 bail. The two other individuals involved in the incident are juveniles, according to police, and they have been charged by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. After a Manalapan man hit a Tennent Rd. home with his car he was sent to the hosptial and a blood test revealed he was intoxicated, police said.
A 23-year-old Manalapan resident reportedly struck a house with his car in the early morning hours of May 24 and caused damage to the structure. Manalapan police responded to 581 Tennent Rd. where Matthew R. Suppa told officers that he was forced off of the road by another car with an unknown description. Suppa, of Heritage Dr., was transported to CentraState Medical Center by Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad because police said they believed the driver was intoxicated. A blood test was taken at the hospital and released to a family member, police said. Suppa was issued three summonses by police, including driving while intoxicated.
