JCP&L Readies for Snow Storm in Manalapan

JCP&L is revving up their service in preparation of the imminent storm.

The Manalapan Township Committee has released a statement about the impending snow storm which may bring heavy rainfall, wind gusts approaching 50 MPH, and a potential of six inches or more of snow accumulation during the overnight hours of Friday, according to the National Weather Service. The storm is expected to begin tonight and continue through Saturday morning. Since extreme weather may bring power outages as a result of fallen trees, Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) has activated their storm preparation and restoration process. They have also begun staging extra out of state FirstEnergy crews in New Jersey so that they can be in position ahead of the snow to minimize the impact of the storm, the release stated.
