Robert Dunbar was indicted on five different counts for allegedly shooting an off-duty NYPD detective in a Manalapan home.
Robert Dunbar, of Staten Island, was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury for allegedly shooting New York Police Department Detective Louis Pepe in his estranged wife’s home last August. Dunbar, 35, was indicted on burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated assault by pointing a firearm, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. According to the indictment issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Dunbar illegally entered the Taylors Mills Road home belonging to his estranged wife and while doing so inflicted bodily harm to both his wife and the off-duty police officer. The chase began in Howell and went through Freehold, Manalpan, and Marlboro before ending in Aberdeen.
Devante Jones, 19, of Cliffwood was indicted this week on charges of eluding police after an August police chase which spanned from Howell to Aberdeen. The chase eventually ended with his being apprehended following a foot pursuit in Aberdeen, according to police. According to Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd, Jones was observed by Cpl. Fred Bauer to be driving his 2012 Toyota in a reckless manner. After Jones refused to stop he lead officers on a multi-department chase up Route 9 North through Freehold, Manalapan, and Marlboro before Bauer stopped his chase. Erika Saviano was indicted by the Grand Jury of Monmouth County for allegedly receiving the prescription Vicodin by fraud within Manalapan Township.
Manalapan woman Erika Saviano, 43, was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury last week on an obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud charge. According to the indictment issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Saviano obtained the drug Vicodin by fraud within Manalapan Township on March 24 of this year. The Monmouth County Grand Jury indicted Justina Cammarata last week.
Manalapan resident Justina Cammarata was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury last week for allegedly being in the possession of cocaine last May. According to the indictment issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Cammarata, 38, was arrested in Asbury Park for being in possession of cocaine on May 3, 2012. Possession of a controlled dangerous substance is a third degree crime.

The Manalapan resident was allegedly engaging in a hand-to-hand drug deal in Englishtown.
Manalapan resident John Modica, 24, was indicted by the Monmouth Grand Jury for being in possession of various drugs, including the narcotics heroin and oxycodone, and alphrazolam, the generic form of Xanax, and resisting arrest on May 5 in Englishtown. According to an arrest warrant issued by Englishtown Police, Modica was charged with possession of 10 wax folds of heroin, possession of Xanax, possession of Suboxone, resisting arrest, and littering. Modica was engaging in a hand-to-hand drug deal with Englishtown resident Nicholas Scarano on Tennent Avenue, according to the Englishtown Police Department. The woman purchased cocaine in Neptune and was in possession of a painkiller illegally, according to the indictment.
Alaina Yacuzzio, 33, of Manalapan, and Robert Mauro, 38, of Toms River, were both indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury this week for allegedly being in possession of various drugs. According to the indictment issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Mauro sold one half ounce or more of cocaine to Yacuzzio in neptune Township on April 13, 2012. Both Yacuzzio and Mauro were indicted on counts of possession of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute. Mauro was additionally indicted on one charge of distribution for selling the drugs to Yacuzzio, according to the indictment.
