Manalapan Man Accused of Fraudulently Obtaining Xanax

The man allegedly submitted a forged prescription at a Marlboro pharmacy.

Manalapan resident Scott Truax, 25, was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury for fraudulently obtaining Xanax from a Marlboro pharmacy, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. On June 29, Truax attempted to retrieve alprazolam from Union Hill Pharmacy in Marlboro Township. According to the indictment, Truax provided a forged New Jersey prescription to the pharmacist, but was not provided with the drug. Alprazolam is the generic form of Xanax, a benzodiazepine drug used to treat anxiety and panic disorders.
