Steve Toubin, a former Manalapan Commissioner of the Western Monmouth Utilities Authority, was issued an official proclamation from the Manalapan Township Committee last week for his hard work and devotion to the community. Toubin has represented the Township on the WMUA for over ten years. Cohen said that Toubin’s “dedicated service to the community deserves special recognition.” The proclamation thanked Toubin for his tireless effort since 2003. The current Commissioners representing Manalapan at the WMUA are Mary Ann Musich and Stephen McEnery.

The Western Monmouth Utilities Authority (WMUA) announced that there will be no rate increases for the rest of the year at their budget meeting in January, according to Manalapan Township Committeeman Donald Holland. The WMUA is also making payment easier through their establishment of an Automatic Account Withdrawal Plan which enables residents to pay their bill electronically. The payment will be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account. This system eliminates the need to write a check or even initiating a payment online, and the service is free, according to a statement on the WMUA website.
