Nina Sculler is an Independent Educational Consultant who owns College Prep in Manalapan, NJ. She is passionate about education and wants to help students learn how to learn. Nina's center has provided her the opportunity to work one-on-one with students in the Marlboro/Manalapan/Colts Neck and Freehold areas. She teaches students how to read, write, study, take notes, and enjoys sharing in the success of each of her students.
Since the initial opening of her center, the curriculum has expanded to include SAT and ACT preparation. Nina, and her staff, loves teaching students the tricks and strategies used in each test and noting the difference the program has on the students' scholastic achievements as well. The SAT and ACT methodologies employed at College Prep help students achieve higher scores on these tests and teach students how to do better in school as a bonus.
As students saw progress in their schoolwork, their interest in college choices piqued. Students would barrage Nina with questions about what schools they should apply, how to write the application essay, and what types of scholarships were available. Nina wanted to help these students with accurate advice, so she expanded her services to include Educational Consulting and now offers that service to her clients. She has taken courses to get her Certificate in Educational Consulting at UC Irvine, has attended the IECA's workshops and summer institute. She has visited over 40 colleges within the last year. Her goal is to see as many as possible so she may direct her students accordingly. Nina is a member of NJASC, NJACAC, HECA, and a professional member of IECA. She is constantly attending seminars and workshops to keep abreast of the trends in college admissions.
