Police: Manalapan Man Burglarizes Burger Joint

Two drawers containing $500 were stolen from Five Guys Burgers & Fries in Manalapan Township.

A Manalapan man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly robbing Five Guys Burgers & Fries restaurant last month, police reported. 

Eric Glantz, 25, of Appaloosa Drive, gained entry to the Route 9 establishment by forcing open the rear doors on Wednesday, April 10 at around 11:15 p.m., according to Manalapan police. Two drawers were removed from the business which contained $500 in cash, police said.

Glantz was arrested by Detective Peter Chalfin after a lengthy investigation by the investigations bureau of the Manalapan Police Department uncovered Glatnz's implication in the commercial burglary.

Glantz was charged with burglary, theft, and criminal trespass. His bail was set at $46,000 with no 10 percent option and remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of bail.
