Report: Manalapan Woman Jumps to Death Off Bridge into Raritan Bay

The woman's name has not yet been released, according to the report.

A Manalapan woman jumped off of the Victory Bridge in Sayreville Saturday morning and was killed, according to an Asbury Park Press report. The woman, 54, parked her Honda on the shoulder of Route 9 North and then climbed over the rail of the bridge and jumped into the Raritan Bay, the report said.

Her body was later recovered by a Perth Amboy fire boat that was dispatched from the marine unit, according to the report. Her name has not yet been released because she is pending an autopsy from the Middlesex County Medical Examiner. 

According to the Asbury Park Press, the investigation into the woman's death is ongoing.
