A Manalapan man has been charged in connection with the two April burglaries of the Valero gas station located on Route 33 in Manalapan.
Eric Glantz, 25, was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft of movable property in connection with the April 17 and April 29 burglaries of the AA Auto Care at the Valero gas station.
Glantz allegedly entered the AA Auto Care garage attached to the Valero gas station on April 17 and stole various items, including $500 in money, a Snap On diagnostic tool valued at $1,000 and an Actron Auto scan tool, police said.
The garage was burglarized again on April 29 when a variety of tools, including another diagnostic tool valued at $500, were stolen, according to police.
Glantz was also charged with two counts of criminal mischief for damaging the garage bay door, which he pried open in order to enter the business on both occasions, according to police. The damage to the garage door cost $300 each time.
Glantz was previously arrested in early April for burglarizing the Five Guys Burgers & Fries in Manalapan. On April 10, Glantz allegedly pried open the rear doors of the business and removed two drawers that contained $500 in cash. He was arrested, charged, and placed in Monmouth County Jail.
Glantz is still remanded in jail in default of $83,000 bail. His initial appearance in court regarding the AA Auto Care burglary charges is scheduled for Monday.
